Potty Seat Recalls and More!!!!Parent's you need to check out the recalls

Good grief! Now i am really hot.Even the potty seats have lead in the winnie the pooh decorative background.Which leads to my next question...Why the hell would a company use anything with lead in it to make a potty seat???Or nursing bottles???or pacifiers????
At one time in our nation this would have been untolerable .Now our kids use this stuff day after day, only to find out it is toxic!!!!Caregiver's please...Take time to look over the recalls..I have been using this potty seat on my kolby for 8 months now!I am awaiting the peice to put over the damn thing!I am seriosly trying to find a way to make my toilet seat accomadating for him to use..This is ridiculous....here is the info on the potty seat and a few more.I will add the link at bottom so you can go search the things you and your children use.....
I am going to include a few pics of items for kids that are recalled for lead ...Please click link on bottom to view more...

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: The First Years 3-in-1 Flush and Sounds Potty Seats

Units: About 160,000

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The recall involves the First Years 3-in-1 Flush and Sounds potty training seats. Each seat has either a yellow chair with a green removable seat and a purple lift out-pot or a blue chair with a white removable seat and green lift out-pot. The words "100 Acre Wood" are molded on the chair back. The plaque inserted into the back of the seat contains molded Winnie the Pooh and Tigger characters.

Century Offers Cash Reward for Recalled Infant Swings
Four strangulation deaths reported
WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Century Products Co., of Macedonia, Ohio, offered a $30 cash reward for the repair of each Lil' Napper infant swing. These swings were recalled in 1997 following reports of three deaths and one near strangulation from entanglement in the swings' shoulder harness straps. CPSC and Century have since become aware of a fourth death to an 8-month old infant girl in Texas.
The swings, which were manufactured by Century from 1991 through 1997, have shoulder harness straps that are placed over each shoulder and buckled between the infant's legs. If the straps on these swings loosen or are unbuckled, an infant can become tangled in the straps and strangle.

Despite a nationwide effort over the past 2 years to alert the public about this recall, Century believes that many of the 125,000 swings originally sold could still be in use. Century took steps to get the word out, including direct mail notification to thrift stores and notices in new infant and convertible car seats.

The recalled Lil' Napper infant swings can be identified by the following model numbers, located on the bottom of the swing's seat: 12-344, 12-345, 12-347, 12-475 or 12-476. The Century brand name is on the motor assembly at the top of the swing. Each swing has a plastic, two-position seat with a removable plastic tray. The sets are covered by either a vinyl or fabric seat pad. There are four white tubular metal legs supporting the swing.

The repair program is no longer available. Parents and caregivers should immediately stop using these infant swings and discard or destroy the product. For more information, consumers can call the company's customer service number at 800-345-4109. If you have one of these swings, however, Century is still offering the $30 cash reward to compensate for having to discard or destroy the product.

Consumers can also view a video clip about this recall (Transcript). It is about 13 megabytes long and the download time depends upon the speed of your Internet connection.

HAPPY TUESDAY AND CHECK MOM'S HANDMADE BLOG OUT

Happy Tuesday! I hope all is well with you today. We spent a day selling our recycleable metals we have collected.Made an extra 153.00! Not bad for just cleaning some can's off the roads and picking up some things other's dumped out on the roads..Make a little money while keeping our roads clean...Was a little copper, some aluminum, steel, and a few batteries.I highly recommend this to help out with money andhelps the enviroment.Even the grands like joining in.Kolby thinks it is cool and all he ever wants is a choclate milk, candy bar and 2 peices of bubble gum,,lol,,.
Rain is suppose to moving back in tonight, tomorrow and possible severe weather on thursday..That was so bad the tornado's striking the mid west so early on this year! I so hated to see that.
Kolby stayed with his mom for the second time in 11 months night before last, she brought him back yesterday afternoon. He seemed to have a good time and she did too.I can only pray that she will continue geting better. She and julie both are due end of april .Justin(nephew)is expecting the end of may.So be little one's all over the place.I have came to the reality that within a few months i may be keeping th little one for her almost full time as well.Only time will tell.I pray that she can handle it but if not i shall raise this one as well lovingly as i possible can.I wish it were not so very expensive to get tubes tied anymore,Because with no insurance i know she can not afford to do it and i certainly can not for her.Looks like the government would rather pay for tubes being tied thatn babies being born that are not cared for the way they should. That is just another one of those huge problems i have with our system.....anyways........................
Julie and darrell will be going to the dr. tomorrow and i think they will get to find out what they are having. They are so very excited on this little one. They set and talk to it already and she reads books to the baby.NO THEY ARE NOT NUTS.....they want to bond as early on as possible. You can feel the baby moving sometimes already... ;)
Well that's my latest catch up of the day,oh! I have started my mom a blog, where she will be showing her handmade items.pot holders, quilts, pillows, etc,Please take time ina few days to check it out. When she retired ,she found out she'd be drawing a whopping 400.00 a month to live on after working from the time she was 16 and raising us 4 kids as a single parent! So mom makes handmade items to sell to help pay bills, meds and such. She has them VERY reasonable. So maybe by the weekend i'll have her pics up and you can see them. She also is selling some of the things she has collected over the years, figurines, dishes, etc and she has over 100 cookie jars!!!!!So keep a look out.... Here is the addy to her blog..bookmark it maybe,,,

Many of you know Martha of MarmeeDear.com and Rebekah of Hope Chest Legacy. Well, they have come together to offer us a wonderful year-long program called The Homemaker's Mentor. Below is the info that I have received in my email recently. Jeannie had this to say about the program, "I joined the Marmee Dear and the lessons look really nice and simple enough, I think it would make for a great way for those of us who can sometimes fall on the way side of homekeeping/being a keeper of the home, I look forward to the "free" lessons they will put out on top of the lessons they have when you subscribe."

I have a FREE Lesson to give away, so leave me a comment and tell me which of the lessons featured below sounds like the ONE for you!
